Birgitte is a skilled based artist, able to work in many genres but her story telling and figurative based themes run strongly throughout her portfolio. She works with acrylic, oils, pastels, watercolours, pencils, etching, computer graphics, ceramic tiles, collage and has a preference for large paintings.
She works through a collaborative co-operative design process to a finished mural.
Ceramic tiles are an enduring medium, rich in colour and suitable for many environments, especially harsh water areas, swimming pools, kitchens and outdoors. They are able to withstand harsh weather conditions including UV light and bathrooms and are easy to maintain.
The tiles are painted on blank commercial tiles so they can be mixed and matched with hand painted images.
